The STREAM Disinfectant Generator provides a continuous flow of disinfectant solution from common salt and electricity. The chlorine-based solution generated by the STREAM System complies with national and international guidelines for disinfecting surfaces, medical devices, and instruments. The STREAM Disinfectant Generator is ideal for rural and urban hospitals and health clinics, drinking water treatment in small communities, disaster relief, and humanitarian aid.
The STREAM system can produce enough disinfectant to treat up to 240,000 liters (60,000 gallons) per day of water. The unit operates on most power supplies including 110/220 VAC single phase, and 12 volts DC such as a car battery or solar panel. It is built into a hard plastic waterproof case. All of the components in the system are water resistant and can be operated in a humid environment. The unit is fully automated ensuring a consistent chlorine concentration of 5,000 mg/L. 5,000 mg/L is the standard concentration for cleaning hospital settings and is easily diluted for hand washing at 500 mg/L or 2,000 to 1 for drinking water applications at 2.5 mg/L dose, or 1,000 to 1 for a 5.0 mg/L dose.
The STREAM system comes with a GPS transmitter and wifi transmitter. This enables the system to be monitored anywhere in the world for data collection and analysis, operating status, and any fault conditions.
General Warnings
The STREAM IS NOT A FILTER.
Wait the full appropriate treatment time. Do not add more water to the container after the treatment process. Adding water after this step will dilute the strength of the treatment solution and increase the risk of contamination. Do not add drink mixes to the treated water before treatment time is complete or treatment process may stop. To prevent drinking any contaminated water, the threads on the container and the cap must be rinsed with treated water.
Do not use seawater.
The STREAM does not make drinkable water out of salty or brackish water. Choose the cleanest water available. Avoid water sources with high levels of chemical contamination, such as mine tailing ponds and sources near large agricultural operations. The STREAM does not reduce heavy metals or high levels of chemical contamination. Read the instruction manual and know to how use this product effectively.
Do not touch your eyes while using the purifier. The STREAM creates a chemical oxidant that can damage your eyes. The same oxidant can also irritate skin and permanently stain clothing. Keep at least 12in away from your face and clothing while running and pouring into your water container. Rinse hands and purifier after use.
